Palomino Restaurant & Bar will close its Downtown Indianapolis doors at the end of June.
The European-inspired restaurant at 49 W. Maryland St. that serves artisan pizzas, custom steaks and craft cocktails will close at the end of the month, a spokeswoman for the restaurant’s parent company confirmed to IndyStar in an email. She did not provide a reason for the closure.
“We have felt so honored to host the celebrations of so many throughout Indianapolis and to be a part of the community,” the spokeswoman said. “We thank our guests for their support.”
The Circle Centre Mall location was Palomino’s sole Indiana restaurant. Palomino locations remain in Bellevue, Washington; San Francisco and Seattle.
A manager at the Downtown Indianapolis location declined to comment to IndyStar. Simon Property Group referred IndyStar to the restaurant.
Palomino is owned by Restaurants Unlimited, which has restaurants in eight states. The Downtown Indianapolis Palomino is Restaurants Unlimited’s only Indiana restaurant.
Other Restaurants Unlimited brands include Horatio’s, Stanford’s, Henry’s Tavern and Kincaid’s.
