WTSP News 10 reported on our auction at the Spaghetti Warehouse in Tampa, Florida.

Bidding goodbye to Spaghetti Warehouse décor

Nick Baker answered the phone at the Spaghetti Warehouse in Ybor City plenty of times over the last 15 years but it’s a little awkward to answer it now.

“It’s closed for good,” he answered a caller before laying down the receiver.

Those calls keep coming hoping to get a table at the iconic restaurant at 1911 N. 13 St. Instead, Baker is preparing to say goodbye to everything inside.

“It was like a family,” he said. “It was like a second family.”

The doors closed on Oct. 2. Now, a company called RestaurantEquipment.Bid will take bids on the over 300 items up for grabs inside.

“This is a unique opportunity to take a piece of the Spaghetti Warehouse home, whether it is the antique furniture, back of the house equipment or the distinctive décor pieces,” Neal Sherman, president of RestaurantEquipment.Bid, told Patch.com.

Every table, lamp and chair is up for bid, along with some more unique items like personalized pictures that hung on the walls, a working traffic light and a giant angel statue.

Items will be available for bidding until Tuesday, October 18 at 7 p.m.
