The O’Charley’s chain restaurant on North Davis Highway in Pensacola will serve dinner for the last time Sunday before going out of business.
An interim manager with the O’Charley’s location on 6233 North Davis Highway confirmed the restaurant’s doors will close around 4 p.m. Sunday for the final time, two hours ahead of the restaurant’s typical closing time.
The manager did not give a reason for the restaurant’s closure.
Representatives with the investment group that owns the shopping center where O’Charley’s is located could not be reached for comment Friday.
O’Charley’s operates more than 200 restaurants across 17 states. Serving up American food with a southern flair since 1971, the Tennessee-based chain reported sales of $469.2 million for the 2018 fiscal year. That figure was down from $498.1 million in the prior year, according to The Nation’s Restaurant News’ Top 200 census.
In July, the NRN reported that O’Charley’s closed eight restaurants in one day and has shuttered at least 20 since 2016.
O’Charley’s parent company, American Blue Ribbon Holdings, owns similar family-friendly franchise restaurants like Village Inn and 99 Restaurant & Pub.
Representatives with American Blue Ribbon Holdings also could not be reached for comment Friday afternoon.
