PALO ALTO WEEKLY: The Fish Market, a 47-year-old seafood restaurant in Palo Alto that shuttered its El Camino Real branch to give way to a housing project, is hosting an online auction to sell its contents — memorabilia, furniture, décor, restaurant equipment and other supplies — to interested members of the community.

THE BOSTON GLOBE: Take home a piece of Wegmans thanks to restaurantequipment.bid, an auction website that is taking bids for hundreds of fixtures and pieces of equipment that were housed inside the mammoth Natick Mall Wegmans store until it shut its doors last month.

KRON4: The Steak and Stone Restaurant, in Mesa AZ, sadly closed their doors after many years of serving the community. Due to the high cost of moving and storing the assets, the owner of Steak and Stone has decided to put the contents of the restaurant up for auction on LocalAuctions.com.

W42ST: If you’re curious to see what else emerges from the now-dusty lanes, the auction listing notes that claimed items will be moved out of the space this upcoming Wednesday and Thursday — except for one key element, the center’s bowling system that remains up for sale.

THE BUSINESS JOURNALS: Movie fans may be able to get a piece of the Pacific Dining Car steakhouse later this month as the iconic restaurant featured in movies such as “Training Day” closes its doors and liquidates.

PRNEWSWIRE: Garden Fresh Restaurants, LLC (Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes) is liquidating all assets under their Chapter 7 Bankruptcy filing. The equipment and contents are being auctioned online nationally at RestaurantEquipment.Bid.

FASTCASUAL.COM: Garden Fresh Restaurants LLC, which owns Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection and is liquidating all assets. RestaurantEquipment.Bid is auctioning all equipment and contents.

CULTURE MAP DALLAS: Someone got a real deal on the vintage trolley that once resided inside the Spaghetti Warehouse in Dallas’ West End, thanks to ab auction by TAGeX Brands.

THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS: The trolley comes with a serious sidenote: When it’s awarded to a new owner, that person will need to make plans to get the trolley out. It’s so big that an exterior brick wall will likely need to be removed from the restaurant.

NBCDFW: The company TAGeX Brands is handling the liquidation of the contents of the Dallas Spaghetti Warehouse. A variety of small furnishings and selected antiques from the restaurant will be auctioned online, including decor, furniture, fixtures and equipment.

KCBD: Ed Price was the most recent co-owner of The Fifty Yard Line Restaurant and says that he was sad to let it go, but he had to do it even though it was open for more than 50 years. And now, he’s wanting to pass off the items in an online auction, saying that even the grill is up for sale.

VERDICT FOOD SERVICE: Fast food restaurant chain Taco Bueno has closed 12 locations in Texas and Oklahoma to position the brand for future growth. RestaurantEquipment.bid, an affiliate of TAGeX Brands, is currently in the process of selling Taco Bueno’s assets through an online auction.

YALE UNIVERSITY: After receiving a $150 million donation from Blackstone co-founder and Yale alumnus, Stephen A. Schwarzman, Yale University plans to create a world-class campus center by renovating the historic Commons and Memorial Hall. But before that happens, Yale is tasked with removing and finding a new home for the furniture, fixtures, appliances, and kitchen equipment from the first two floors of the building.

LOCAL MEMPHIS: The​ ​Spaghetti​ ​Warehouse​ ​in​ ​Memphis​ ​announced​ ​on​ ​November​ ​6​ ​that​ ​it​ ​would​ ​be​ ​closing​ ​its​ ​doors​ ​for business,​ ​with​ ​their​ ​final​ ​day​ ​of​ ​service​ ​being​ ​Sunday,​ ​November​ ​19.​ ​Now,​ ​the​ ​restaurant​ ​is​ ​inviting people​ ​to​ ​take​ ​a​ ​piece​ ​of​ ​the​ ​restaurant​ ​home​ ​with​ ​them​ ​in​ ​their​ ​online​ ​auction.

NATION’S RESTAURANT NEWS: Restaurants are facing sales and cost challenges, bankruptcies, and store closures, even as immense interest in the sector from private equity and other investors drives up prices. The result is more closures. Companies such as TAGeX specialize in taking the equipment from those closed locations to sell them on the aftermarket. 

CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA: Neal Sherman, President of TAGeX Brands, a company that handles facility transitions and equipment liquidation in the restaurant industry, has recently been inducted into The Society of Fellows at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), a position held by only 250 people in the world.
