Denny’s Closing 5 locations in Rochester Region

Restaurant Equipment and Furniture From Denny’s In Perinton are Being Liquidated by TAGeX Brands. Items Are Currently Available on RestaurantEquipment.Bid.

Five Denny’s restaurants in the Rochester region are closing according to a notice filed with the New York State Department of Labor.

The popular eatery chain listed cited “unforeseeable business circumstances prompted by COVID-19” as the reason for the closures.

According to the Worker Adjustment and Retaining Notification (WARN) notice, 187 Denny’s employees were laid off as a result of the closure. The notice lists five local Denny’s restaurants affected by the closures. They are:

  • 2890 W. Ridge Road in Greece
  • 911 Jefferson Road in Henrietta
  • 160 Eastern Blvd. in Canandaigua, Ontario County
  • 4240 Lakeville Road in Geneseo, Livingston County
  • 813 Canandaigua Road in Geneva, Ontario County

Two other Denny’s restaurants in the area also recently closed. The Denny’s restaurant on Route 96 in Victor and The Denny’s eatery in Perinton. Denny’s was founded in 1953 and has more than 1,700 locations. The restaurant chain has listed 49 Denny’s in New York prior to these closures.
